I hate the fact the term swagger is said by every single announcer in every single sport. I think it's a shitty word that replaced the word confidence. But the reason I hate the word itself is due to two things; The New England Patriots and Kobe Bryant. Every time I think of it, I can just see some stupid NFL reporter saying how the Patriots and Tom Chokey got their swagger back, and how every NBA announcer refers to Kobe Bryant as having "that certain swagger about him." What the fuck does that even mean?
Does having swagger mean losing in the first round of the playoffs? For having an arrogant coach that single handedly ruined your season? For having a baby as wide receiver that takes plays off if things aren't going away? For being accused of rape? For cheating on your wife with some chick in Colorado? Fuck that.
Swagger is a term used in hip hop culture, that the man has taken for himself to make cool and market to urban culture. It's as blatant as McDonald marketing to Hispanics with a commercial involving a low rider with hydrolics. So what does this rant mean? I don't know, I just hate the fucking term swagger, the Patriots, and Kobe Bryant.
