Mark Cuban made a run at buying the Texas Rangers earlier this year, but his failed bid has not dimmed his interest in the team's success. The outspoken owner of the NBA's Dallas Mavericks has only one issue with the Rangers' 2-0 lead in the ALDS.
"Obviously, I'm like everybody else -- I hate the day-game starts," Cuban told the Dallas Morning News. "It's hard to get drunk, then watch the Rangers game, then go back to work. Not impossible. And not as hard for me because I have a driver. Or I can get one if I need one. Taxis, people. Taxis."
The first four games of the Rangers' series with the Rays are afternoon starts (ESPN).
Hahaha, he is awesome, and he is also correct. It is tough for a lot fo people to watch these games, and it sucks for the Rangers that they got handed 4 day game. That's not really fan, and I bet you would never see that happen (as much) if it was the Red Sox or Yankees.
Still, I love that he is fan, and his comments are hilarious. The guy just seems to have more fun then any other owner is sports. I just hope one day he gets his hands on an MLB team, because it is exactly that the league needs.
