124 Celtics, 105 Knicks
Yesterdays game verse the Knicks was a laugher the whole way through and was the 18th straight victory for the C's. Again Rajon Rondo was the spark for the offense as he had 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals. But he was most impressive in the third when he had 18 of his 26 points. The rest of the starting line-up and Tony Allen and Leaon Powe also finished with double figures. The Celtics are now tied for the best starting record in NBA history and I don't see them stopping anytime soon. The only thing I can criticize the Celtics was their defensive effort, but when you are caught up in a shoot out that sometimes happens.
A few cool side notes:
• Boston is tied for the franchise record for the longest single-season win streak. The 1982 Celtics also won 18 consecutive games.
• Doc Rivers' teams are a combined 24-12 vs. the Knicks.
• The Celtics are 17-0 this season when guard Rajon Rondo scores in double figures.
