Furcal Back With Braves

"The Braves are looking forward to the opportunity to once again place Rafael Furcal at the top of their lineup. At the same time, they're looking forward to having both Kelly Johnson and Yunel Escobar in that same lineup. A Major League source confirmed Tuesday morning that Furcal and the Braves have agreed to the terms of a three-year contract that includes a vesting option for the 2012 season (MLB.com)."

Nice signing by the Braves, but they don't really know where they are going to put Furcal yet. The Braves have no intention to trade Johnson or Escobar. Instead, they are planning to move Johnson back to LF, a position he played before moving to 2nd before the start of the 2007 season. Furcal will be god on the top of that lineup, as the Braves try to reload, and get back to winning that division every year (tough to do with the Mets, and Phillies).
