"Kerry Wood is the Cleveland Indians' new closer. The former Chicago Cubs star completed a $20.5 million, two-year contract Saturday, a deal that includes a 2011 option that could become guaranteed (Sportsline)."
Do I think the Indians overpaid for him? Yes, but Wood (when healthy) can be nasty. If he can stay healthy, I believe the Indians have a good enough bullpen to be affective. The sad thing is I have no faith that Wood can play an entire season, so I think the Indians just flushed $20.5 million down the drain.
What happened to Mark Prior?
