The San Diego Padres have agreed on a deal that will send Khalil Greene to St. Louis for two players (have not been named yet). Khalil Greene was an awesome college players, but has been a real disappointment as a pro, never hitting above .275 in his career. In 2007 Greene had, what was thought to be, a breakout season when he hit 27 HRs with 97 RBIs, but he followed that up with a terrible 2008 season (10 HRs 35 RBIs). Greene also strikes out way to much, and his not very good at getting on base, so overall, even though it is a big name changing team, I don't see this deal making a big impact for either team.
