Barring an unforeseen surprise, or a computer glitch, Oklahoma will face Florida for the National Championship on January 8th. That's right, over a month from now. It's kind of a shame. Both these teams are hotter than Scarlett Johansson handcuffed to Beyonce Knowles in a jacuzzi filled with chocolate. Well, maybe not that hot.

Oklahoma is the first team in history to score 60+ in 5 straight games. But that's an inflated figure . They ran up the score against Missouri, and Oklahoma State, no doubt about it. But what is really impressive is that 3 of those games were against ranked opponents. And the Sooners scored 58 against K-State the game before the streak started.
Florida also did something no other team has done: Beat Alabama. A 31-30 loss to Ole Miss was their only stumbling block. And it turned out that the Rebels weren't that bad either. But the SEC was disappointing this season. Georgia wasn't as powerful as we all thought they'd be. LSU fell down the Top 25 like a Plinko chip, Auburn isn't bowl eligible, neither is Tennessee, or Arkansas. Florida's the best team in the SEC, but what does that really mean this season?

Now we get a month of waiting. The bowls start December 20th, but they don't get interesting until New Year's Eve. There will be a month of debate, hype, promotion, self-promotion, Heisman talk, film analyses, practice, finals (yeah, right), and so on.
I don't know about anyone else, but I want these two teams to play right fucking now. I feel like Cartman waiting for the Wii.
And I can't wait for the Sooners to hang 60 on Florida.
