Weekly Rant

Not only will this be the weekly rant, this will take place for the Celtics/ Pacers pregame.

"I want to start off with a quote, and everyone should write this down, remember it, make it a fucking bumper sticker if you have to. "Basketball is not played on paper, it is played on the basketball court." Listen I'm not a New England resident so I receive very non-biased opinions on the Celtics and especially Rajon Rondo. I think it's pretty clear that you can't really hate on the Celtics, doubt them, or disregard them as the best team in basketball or at least top three. I walk into the studio yesterday, wearing my Eastern Conference Championship shirt because the Celtics pounded the Magic the night before, and this fat fucking intern makes a smart ass comment. "The Celtics aint for real" Says the fat fuck wear a Tony Romo jersey. (now Tony Romo and the Cowboys are the one team in sports that aren't for real.) So allow me to get to the point. I engage in this papostorous conversation with this guy who obviously struggles for basketball knowledge. I finally get him to pay tribute to the team and give credit where credit is deserved. But here's my point and why I'm frustrated. A quote, "Rajon Rondo is a dime a dozen. You can put any point guard in that lineup and they will shine" Okay. I'm not going to curse, I'm not getting mad, I'm sad. Disappointed. Disappointed that someone can make a statement like that and not have viewed a single game this year. On paper Rajon is a whopping 7th in NBA in steals, and is right up there is assists, and is almost averaging a double double. But this guys point was that anyone can do it with "The Big 3" Well if you watched at least one game this year, people, you know that's not true. Rajon Rondo may not have Allen's jump shot. But the man can do everything else. Rajon does the things that they don't have stats for. Pestering on defense, running the offense. Finding the open guy. Making passed that I myself cant even see and I'm watching it on TV. He has 3 things you cant teach. 1. speed. He should be in the Olympics. 2. never give up attitude and defensi ve awareness. He rarely blows an assignment. He contributes to assisted turn overs. Finally and most importantly, vision. Vision is something you need in every sport. The quarterback in football, the point in hockey, and the point guard in basketball. This vision something you are born with. An understanding of what's happening, and what's going to happen, then reacting to it. If you watch young Rajon Rondo you'll see theses things. Here's my final words. When the Ray Allen's shooting rubs off on Rajon Rondo, he willl be a top five player in the NBA. Mark my words. Along with Kevin Durant, Derek Rose, O J Mayo, and Thadus Young. Thats right I said it Thadus Young. Those will be your top 5 in 5. Remember Rajon haters. Basketball is played on the court, not your fucking stat sheets."

Thadeus Young is a stretch Answer, but I will give it you because of the Rondo love.
