99 Rockets, 87 Lakers

It seems the more players the Rockets lose the better they gat. They lost Tracy McGrady and they got further in the play-offs then they ever did, then they lose Yao Ming and they route the Lakers. The Lakers must have taken this game off because they were run out of the house by second year point guard Aaron Brooks who had 34 points. Ron Artest and Shane Battier did a great job blanketing Kobe Bryant, holding him to 15 points on 7-17 shooting. These injuries will ultimately doom the Rockets, but it is fun to see Houston make a series out of it.

Facts about the game:
• The Rockets led by 13 after the first quarter and led by as many as 29 points.

• Houston improved to 4-0 all-time against Los Angeles without Yao Ming (regular season and postseason).

• Pau Gasol led the Lakers with 30 points.

• Kobe Bryant added 15 points on 7-of-17 shooting. Bryant averaged 35.0 points through the first three games of the series. Sunday's loss marked the fewest points scored by Bryant in a playoff game since also scoring 15 points against the Suns on April 24, 2007.
