Frank Thomas Retires

Former White Sox slugger Frank Thomas has called a news conference for 11 a.m. today at at U.S. Cellular Field to announce his retirement. It is really nice to see that Thomas and the White Sox have put all their problems behind them and they can do this whole retirement thing the right way. If you can remember Thomas did not leave under the best of terms, but at the end of the day he is probably the best player to ever play for the White Sox holding numerous team records, including all-time HR and RBI marks.

Thomas was unable to find a team to sign him this year, so he finally decided to call it quits and take on a career in broadcasting. The White Sox will also be announcing that Thomas' No. 35 will be retired the summer.
