Mobley Forced To Retire

"New York Knicks guard Cuttino Mobley is retiring from the NBA because of a heart disease that he says has gotten worse. Mobley announced his decision at a news conference Thursday at the Knicks' training center. He confirmed he has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and said he had no choice but to end his career (Sportsline)."

DP and I went to URI, so there is obvious love for Cuttino Mobley. He was one of my personal favorite players in the NBA, and it is really to bad he had to go out like this. His career was basically over, but I really wanted to see him become a veteran bench player for a contender (maybe even the Celtics?!?). Too bad it will never happen now. Here at DC we wish him the best.
