The Phillies have agreed to a three-year contract with free-agent outfielder Raul Ibanez, pending a physical. The deal is believed to be worth $30 million over three years. ESPN
You know. Ibanez may be the most over looked player in MLB history. He has quietly put together a string of good years together and has had a pretty productive career for himself. You probably wouldn't think this but he is one of just five outfielders who have driven in at least 100 runs in each of the last three seasons. The others: Carlos Beltran, Magglio Ordonez, Carlos Lee and Bobby Abreu. Pretty Impressive. It looks as if he is going to take over for Pat Burrell who is going to be getting a huge paycheck. However, you could make an argument that Ibanez might be better than Burrell. Good signing Phils.
