Clinton Portis is the latest NFL player to shoot off him mouth against his coach. Portis, who was frustrated by his lack of playing time against the Ravens last week said this...
"Either you feel like you need to sever ties with me -- split ties with me -- but don't sit here and throw me out like I don't pay attention, like I don't know what's going on, like I'm making mistakes, like I'm the problem," Portis said. "It is what it is, bro." "I'm totally healthy after not playing against Baltimore," Portis said. "The thing about it, I'll be at practice tomorrow."
Porits maybe he would play you more if you weren't injured all the time. You are having a great year, why ruining it by coming out against your coach during the playoff push. It just doesn't make sense. Portis very well may have had a good point, but you can't come out against your coach in the middle of a season, it does nothing good for your team. It will be interesting to see what happens from here, since Zorn has done a decent job this year, and Portis is the 2nd leading rusher int he NFL. My guess is nothing will happen, and we just won't hear about this again, unless Washington get blown out the rest of this year, or has a terrible year in 2009.
