Eagles Want A Top 42 Pick For McNabb

"A person familiar with trade discussions involving McNabb told The Associated Press the Philadelphia Eagles will only consider a deal for the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback if it includes a pick among the top 42 in next month's NFL draft. (ESPN)"

I have been ranting about this a lot over the last year or two, but sorry you are going to have to read one more...

McNabb is worth a top 15 pick in the draft plus a 4th or 5th rounder. Eagles fans sometimes piss me off. They remind of Red Sox fans from back in the day. Pissed off at everyone, never seeing what they have in front of them. If you want to go with Kolb that is fine, but I am telling you right now you won't win the Super Bowl next year with him, and it would be kind of a waste since they have a team that is ready to win now.

McNabb has thrown 4,303 yards in his career with 194 TDs and only 90 INTs. He is a Hall of Famer. He has brought the Eagles to 5 NFC Championships. Yes, I know they haven't won one, but are you really go to sit here and tell me that it because McNabb was the QB?

Listen I am not saying that the Eagles have to keep McNabb, but if they are to deal him they have to get the price right. You don't trade a Hall of Fame QB for a late 1st/early 2nd round pick. McNabb is no spring chicken, but he is only 33 years old. I would say he has a solid 3 years of football left in him.

So what do the Eagles do?

In my eyes it is so fucking simple. Trade Vick. I think they could probably squeeze a 3rd or 4th round pick for him. That is great considering they actually have 0 use for him. Keep Kolb, and wait for the new CBA to come out. This is an uncapped year, so there is no finacial reason you have to trade McNabb, so why not give this Hall of Famer one more shot? Kolb is only 25 he isn't going anywhere, so stop all this bullshit, and stick with this top 7 QB.
