MLB Previews: Chicago White Sox

Lineup:
* LF Juan Pierre
* 2B Gordon Beckham
* RF Carlos Quentin
* 1B Paul Konerko
* CF Alex Rios
* C A.J. Pierzynski
* DH Andruw Jones
* 3B Mark Teahen
* SS Alexei Ramirez

I love this line up, this team, their coach, everything about the White Sox. Juan Pierre is going to excel in Ozzie Guillen's run first ways. Gordan Beckham is an up and coming star, and Carlos Quintin is coming off an injury and should return to his bashing ways. Paul Konerko and Alex Rios aren't too shabby either, and then the line up is finished off by the Cuban Missile Alexei Ramirez. They should be able to score a lot of runs, and even though they lost a lot of home runs with Jermaine Dye leaving, the speed should make up for it.

Rotation
* LHP Mark Buehrle
* RHP Jake Peavy
* LHP John Danks
* RHP Gavin Floyd
* RHP Freddy Garcia

RHP Bobby Jenks (closer)

I love this pitching staff. Buehrle is solid, and they get a healthy Peavy for a year. John Danks is o.k. and is young, and Ozzie Guillen proclaimed that he expects a healthy Gavin Floyd to have 20 wins, which is achievable figuring he won 17 two years ago. And Freddy Garcia is better than a lot of other teams 5th starter too. Jenks has been solid on the field. Off the field is where he has the problems.

Final thoughts:
They are going to win the Central. I like the Twins, but I think that the White Sox have the offense, pitching and speed to kill the other AL Central teams. Expect big years from Peavy, Floyd, Beckham and Pierre. Ozzie Guillen is going to prove why he is one of the best coaches in baseball, and hopefully the Sox fire Francona and sign him this offseason.
