Just because I had nothing to do this weekend, I made this list of my all time favorite Red Sox players throughout my history.
10. John Valentin- looking back at his stats he could have been a known steroid guy, but he was the real reason why I convinced myself hitting .250 in little league was o.k.
9. Troy O'Leary- He seemed like he was around forever, and who doesn't like a black guy named O'Leary
8. Tony Fossis- huge eyebrows, Cuban and my pen pal.
7. Carl Everett- He's the man. He was unbelievable as a Red Sox player. He doesn't believe in dinosaurs and calls his own homeruns.
6. Roger Clemens- When I pitched they called me Rocket for a season, then I started doing steroids and my baseball career was never the same.
5. Manny Ramirez- Laid back atmosphere is something to be appreciated.
4. David Ortiz- Papi is awesome. He was the heart of the World Series teams and if anyone deserves their number to be retired as a Sox player, he should be it.
3. Dice- K- What else does he have to prove. The Sox have won a World Series and has been a 18 game winner since joining the team. If healthy this year,t he rest of the league is in trouble.
2. Hideo Nomo- Is there a "No- No for NOMO, Yes, Yes." Sean McDonough. I will remember that broadcast call for the rest of my life. He's the Jackie Robinson for Asian players.
1. Doug Mirabelli- Has two more World Series rings than Ted Williams. Hits grandslams a lot. I sleep under an 8x10 every night.
Honorable mention: Lee Tinsley, Billy Hatcher
