This summer you will be seeing the State of Origins Competition here. It is the single largest Rugby match in Australia all year. It’s the equivalent of the Super Bowl for Americans, but is an All Star game, like the Pro Bowl. Its basically the two biggest Rugby Regions in Australia who both lay claim to creating Rugby League. It is a best of three style competition, all occurring in the span of a couple weeks, so the emotions get going and the games are always intense. Here is a clip of game one from 2009.
