The Flyers were beaten, but not terribly outplayed, in their first two losses to the Bruins. The Flyers hope a return to home ice and a rowdy arena for Game 3 on Wednesday can help get them back in the series.
So what has been the difference in this series?
Well if you asked me it is 2 things. Boston is doing a much better job getting to the net, and making life tough for Boucher. The other reason is the clutch plays by Rask at the end of games. Yes, the Bruins scoring has been very clutch also, but it is the play of their young goalie in the 3rd period (and sometimes overtime) that has been the difference.
Still, you can't count out the Flyers. They are finally at home, and they have battled back in the past down 0-2, so this is far from over. The key for the Flyers will be to get their offense going, which other then Richards and Briere (who have 4 of the teams 6 goals this series) has been far from stellar.
Boston just needs to keep the pressure up in the offensive zone, and watch out for turnovers in their own zone (something I think they have gotten away with so far in the playoffs).
So far of all the games I am least confident in this one, but I can't pick the Flyers, so Boston wins.
Bruins 4-3 (OT)
Players of the Game: Rask/Recchi/Chara
Game starts at 7pm on Versus.
