The Lakers made their bench stronger today with the signings of Matt Barnes and Theo Ratliff. These signings won't get a lot of publicity, but they could have a major impact on next season. As much as I hate Matt Barnes he is a great bench player, that is an underrated defender. On top of that they get Ratliff, who is very old (37), but adds some nice insurance off the bench in case Bynum has injury problems again.
Even with everything the Heat have done this offseason I still have to say the Lakers are the favorite to win. Phil Jackson is in his send off year, they are bringing basically everyone back (plus these 2), and they have a guy named Kobe.
