According to ESPN, Jason Kidd is really going to Dallas. The breakdown is the Mavs swingman Trenton Hassell and the retired Keith Van Horn will be plugged into the trade in place of Jerry Stackhouse and Devean George. If the newly proposed deal goes through, New Jersey would receive 24-year-old point guard Devin Harris, center DeSagana Diop, guard Maurice Ager, forwards Hassell and Van Horn, two first-round draft picks and $3 million in cash for Kidd and Nets forward Malik Allen.Like I said earlier this trade is Jason Kidd for Devin Harris. An aging but great vet for a 24 year old pg for the Nets. I like this trade for the Mavs, but it can have drawbacks. For instance what if Jason has any health problems? Then what? Or the fact the Mavs will have to increase their tempo on offense, so that could affect them. I doubt anything bad will result from this, but I am just saying.
For the Nets they have a great, young guard in Devin Harris plus cap room and some draft picks. So we will see if it works out or not.
