Jackie MacMullan won the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Curt Gowdy Media Award. I know probably no one cares, but I couldn't help myself from giving her a shout out. She is really one of the only respectable women writers for the NBA, and now is the first woman to receive this award. MacMullan is really up there with some of the best writers in Boston, and her coverage of the NBA has been nothing short of amazing. Her books on Bird/Magic, which is one of the most captivating stories ever in the NBA. Above that, it is just great to see a woman who really knows her shit. When she is on "Around The Horn" she is usually the best on the show. She has up to the minute updates, and is really one of the few reporters that I sit back and actually feel like I learned something.
Anyways, congratulations to Jackie MacMullan, you deserve it.
