With Tom Brady not showing up to the start of camp he is creating his own controversy with his impending free agency coming up. It's unclear what is going through his mind, but one thing is for certain, with the new CBA coming up he doesn't want to be franchised next season and wants some job security.
I never took Brady for being one to hold out, and I will be shocked if he does, but I wouldn't blame him if the thought came into his mind. He obviously has done more for the Patriots franchise than any of his predecessors and deserves Peyton Manning type money. He already has given them a home town discount, so it's time the Patriots show some loyalty to him. If they continue to make this a business decision and drag this out, it could be the biggest mistake the organization has ever made.
But also, they could do what the loyal Patriot fans wanted a couple years ago and dump Brady for Matt Cassel.
