Shaq To Celtics?

According to ESPN, they report that at least three teams have contacted the 7-1 free agent, including the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, and Boston Celtics.

None of the conversations have gone too far and "no financial terms have been broached," the site reports. Those three teams are all over the salary cap already so the most he can be offered, according to ESPN, is a mid-level exception at $5.8 million annually.

I know everyone is in a frenzy about this saying what has he done for Phoenix and the Cavs, but I think he could be a great fit for Boston. I would love to be able to get a running big man for Rondo to have fun with but for the second unit who is primarily a half court offense, having Shaq can't hurt you. There aren't many big men who are worth much, so why not try and get Shaq? Part of me is hoping Rasheed unretires so we can have the likes of him over Brad Miller, and the only one worth taking a second look at is Brandon Haywood, but I just don't see him in green.

Shaq would be a welcomed addition to the Celtics and figuring there in the go for it mentality, why don't they? He can take up space, gobble up rebounds and score in bunches. When Shaq played against the C's in the playoffs his presence was recognized. he could do the same thing off the bench for the Celtics.
