According to movies.com "Jason Voorhees has been fast-tracked to beat next summer's potential actors and directors strike, with a planned early 2008 start date. Freddy vs. Jason scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift are working on the script, and though The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning's Jonathan Liebesman was set to direct at one point, it's not clear whether he's still on board. The remake would be the latest Friday the 13th project in a lengthy line-up of sequels and spinoffs that totals more than a dozen movies, beginning with the 1980 original Friday the 13th".
I dont know what to say other than I have not been this excited since Freddy vs. Jason..which is one of the greatest movies ever made. Jason's overall kill count (which stand at 146 by the way) blows away by far any of the other great slashers of the time (Myers, Kruger, ect). You know this movie will be good for at least one grundle chop.
