Lanen wrote us and stated that he still loves the Bruins. I (BMack) had given up on them about 10 years ago, and DP never liked hockey, but to be fair...here's what he had to say about this years team:
I’d like to start off by saying the B’s are playing some of the best hockey I’ve seen since the early 90’s. Dating back to the preseason analysis I recall the hockey world discussing the Bruin’s being the worst overall team in the NHL (this season), yet we’re already past the mid-season and we’re fighting for a decent playoff spot without the presence of Bergeron. Thomas is the backbone of this young team, and I will tell you right now, if the Celtics weren’t playing as well as they have been, Bean Town fans would turn their heads and appreciate the Bruins like every other Boston domination in recent years. Personally I still want revenge on that bastard who took out Patrice at the beginning of the season but as Mack say’s it best “karma.” I foresee the B’s coming into April looking stronger, healthier and of coarse ready to throw their fare share of haymakers and yes DP, “blood is a part of the sport.” Fact #1 Hockey is fantastic.
