Red Sox 7 Cardinals 6
- Josh Beckett was amazing in his 3 innings of work. He threw 34 pitches, 24 strikes and struck out 3, no hits, no runs. I don't like to go overboard with spring training results, but Beckett is going to have a huge year...GET PAID.
- Papelbon, Okajima, and Ramon Ramirez combined to throw 3 scoreless innings. The Sox did not let up a hit in the first 6 innings.
- Jose Iglesias lined a home run that snuck over the fence in left to give the Sox the lead in the top of the 9th.
Other then that there wasn't a lot of action from notable players. Ortiz had a couple of hits, and so did Drew.
