Angels @ Red Sox Preview
Lackey has been a huge disappointment this year, but the one thing he has done is pitch well against his former team. Lackey is 2-0 with a 1.88 ERA against the Angels, but that's where the good news ends, since he is also 0-2 with a 6.52 ERA in 3 August starts, with opponents hitting .321 against him.
Scott Kazmir gets the start for the Angels, and he is just not anything close to what he used to be. Kazmir is 8-10 on the season with a 6.36 ERA. He has won six of his last eight road outings, but I think he is all washed up and the Sox should be able to take advantage.
The Sox basically know that Ellsbury and Cameron will be out the rest of the season, but right now I trust Kalish and McDonald a lot more. McDonald is on fire hitting .462 with 2 HRs in the last 7 days.
I think the Sox win tonight, and Lackey continues his success against his former team.
Red Sox win 8-3
Player of the Game: Beltre
Game starts 7:10pm on NESN.
