So the Dodgers put Manny on waivers and it seems that he won't make it past the White Sox or Tampa Rays. Manny is having a rough year with a .313 batting average 8 hrs and 40 rbis, but on an AL contending team he could be very dangerous. The Rays desperately need some protection for Evan Longoria and he would be a perfect fit and Manny would slot in nicely between Carlos Quinten and Paul Konerko in that White Sox line up too. After this year, Manny will probably be an AL DH type of player and that will be huge for him.
I don't care that Manny was a D bag on the Sox and got caught with HGH or whatever it is, he's a hell of a player and has at least another great 3 or 4 years left as a DH.
