In a world that really looks down upon people hurting animals ala Mike Vick! Mike Vick!, Pedro Martinez now has entered the equation. Pedro Martinez and Juan Marichal were seen viewing a cock-fight in Dominican Republic. Personally, I don't see what the big deal is, in fact I really didn't care what Mike Vick did also, I take the Clinton Portis stance, "Hey, if he wants to fight em, let him fight em".
Here are the reasons I don't care:
1. It is legal to fight cocks in the D.R., Pedro even said it is part of the Culture there.
2. Because they are chickens or roosters whatever, who cares, might as well have them kill each other, either way they will produce a great buffalo wing.
3. It is not like Pedro ran the cock fight like Mike Vick, He just viewed it.
4. Pedro was a good Red Sox player, if it was Trot Nixon I would believe he should be hung.
5. If I ever go to D.R. the first thing I probably would want to do is watch a cock fight.
6. It was two years ago.
