Brett Favre has informed the Vikings that he will not return for another season in Minnesota. Neither Favre nor the Vikings have confirmed the news but a press release is expected Tuesday according to ESPN.
I have to admit I am shocked by this. I was 100% sure he was coming back, and I guess a part of me still thinks he is. I always thought I would be so happy the day that Favre retired, but right now I am feeling a little disappointed I always hoped it would be a career ending injury, hopefully done by the Packers.
Anyways, the Vikings have to be livid. Their entire season just went up in smoke, because sorry I just don't see Sage Rosenfels or Tarvaris Jackson carrying the load. They might still be a playoff team, but we don't need to talk about the in the SuperBowl hunt anymore.
Favre has sent text messages to teammates saying, "This is it". What a fag. I really hope the whole Vikings team lashes out at him, because they really could've done something about their QB position through the draft or something. Then again, it is the Vikings fault for trust this pompous, back stabbing, queer.
But like I said, I'm still not sold he will actually retire.
