Bruins Sign Tyler Seguin (2 UPDATES)
According to numerous report Tyler Seguin should be officially signed in the next few days. It is obvious he is going to get the max entry level deal. The Bruins are going to need to dump about $3M of salary from this team. They have some time with Sturm out until late November, so his contract (3.5M) doesn't count against the cap until he comes back.
The Bruins were looking to move Savard, and they still might, but the most likely candidate to take him (Kings), are waiting until they see what happens with Ilya Kovalchuk. The Bruins would also love to move Michael Ryder, but his inflated contract, and lack of skill will hurt any deal.
***UPDATE***
ESPN Boston's James Murphy tweets, "Confirmed with two sources just now, Bruins and Tyler Seguin have reached an agreement on an entry-level deal. Working on details."
***UPDATE #2***
WEEI is reporting that the Bruins signed Tyler Seguin to a deal with a base salary of $900K with bonus potential up to 3.75M/year.
