Francisco Rodriguez was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, after an altercation with his father-in-law at Citi Field.
Rodriguez was arrested and being held at the ballpark early Thursday, police said. His father-in-law was in a hospital with a scrape on his face and a bump on his head. ESPN
I didn't realize it but this is the third altercation K Rod has got in since joining the Mets. I don't know what stemmed this fight, but obviously K Rod needs to handle the situation. The Mets have been falling out of playoff contention again, so this is maybe why K Rod's frustration boiled over or it could be that LeBron hosted "The Decision". The Mets have had zero good news in about 4 years and this certainly will be part of the laundry list that will get Omar Minaya and Jerry Manuel fired this offseason. But knowing the Mets they will probably hire Isiah Thomas to run the team.
