You might not know who this is, but Moises Garcia had a very significant role in spectator events. In the 1930's in Santander Spain at the bullfighting ring he was brave enough to stick his hands in the air when a bull approached the matador. That reaction caught on like wildfire and more and more people started duplication the reaction Moises had. This evolved into the modern day wave that you see at sporting events.
