Favre Finally Ends It
"Another trip on the old Favre-go-round is now complete, and I'm dizzier than ever. This time Brett Favre is staying retired. At least according to Vikings head coach Brad Childress, who had as much reason as anyone to follow this always unpredictable story (SI)."
Obviously I am glad that my TV will not be filled with fucking Brett Favre stories on whether or not he is coming back, or how much of a legend he is. My thinking is that he "was" a legend, but he ruined it. All this back and forth, and endless media sessions made me want to get sick, but at least it's over (well at least for now...). Still there is a part of me that is kind of sad. I don't think he was going to do well with the Vikings and a part of me would have loved to see him get crushed by the Packers a couple times, hopefully like a career ending injury (death>) at Lambeau Field. He had a hell of a career. It is really too bad he had to go and be a douchebag at the end....
Hopefully this will be the last Favre story (till his death) on Dueling Couches...
