Wakefield Back Tuesday
"The Boston Globe reports that Red Sox SP Tim Wakefield's lower-back strain is improving and that he hopes to be activated by Tuesday (Sportsline)."
Good, because the back end of the Sox rotation has been horrible. This will make things every interesting. Smoltz/Buchholz/Penny have all not pitched well, but then again the trade deadline hasn't passed, so it is tough to say what the Sox will do. If I was them I would really start thinking about putting Smoltz in the bullpen, and see if he can back to his old days when he was a closer for the Braves...
