LeBron had an opportunity to take away some of the hatred directed towards him in Cleveland when he took out a newspaper ad (the day after Big Z took out an add in the CLEVELAND Plain Dealer and thanked the city and their fans) for the Akron Beacon Journal, but he forgot to add something pretty significant in the ad.... The city of Cleveland:
"It was here where I first learned how to play basketball, and where I met the people who would become my lifelong friends and mentors. Their guidance, encouragement and support will always be with me," reads James' ad in the Beacon Journal.
"Akron is my home, and the central focus of my life. It's where I started, and it's where I will always come back to. You can be sure that I will continue to do everything I can for this city, which is so important to my family and me. Thank you for your love and support. You mean everything to me."
This really just shows LeFag's age (25) to leave Cleveland out of the mix. When it is all said and done, he will look back to "The Decision" and to this ad and regret it. Cleveland hasn't embraced someone like him since Jim Brown and now he's basically making this into a childish battle. He could have came out as a winner with some humility, however he's burning bridges left and right by being an ego maniac. (I was hanging out with some people who work for US magazine and they said he is such an arrogant prick and is always absurdly late to meetings) Him and Jay-Z are no longer boys thanks to him ignoring Jay's calls and made Jay-Z look stupid with the whole Nets recruiting process and now the city of Cleveland hates him. If he thought long term he would realize how dumb he actually is.
