Red Sox @ Blue Jays Preview

The Red Sox are going for their 10th win in 12 games this year against Toronto as they try to complete a 3 game sweep. Boston has Lackey going today, while Toronto counters with Brad Mills.

Lackey struggled his last time out, giving up 5 runs on 8 hits over 6 innings in a 5-2 loss at Yankee Stadium on Saturday. He has given up 4 or more earned runs in 9 of his 23 starts, and 11 total in his last 2 outings. The Sox are paying this guy a lot of money, and he is not coming through for them. To make things even more interesting Jarrod Saltalamacchia is rumored to be behind the plate today.

Brad Mills will make his second start of the season in place of Brett Cecil, who had his scheduled start pushed back to Saturday. After a stellar season debut against Baltimore, Mills was tagged for 5 runs and 7 hits over 4 innings against Tampa Bay.

There are a bunch of reg flags around this game. New catcher, Lackey, day game, left hander, but I think the Sox get by all this because I really believe they are in the heads of the Blue Jays.

Boston win 8-6
Player of the Game: Beltre
Game starts at 12:37pm on NESN.
