5 Elected to NBA Hall of Fame
"It was only a matter of time, and now Michael Jordan is in the Hall of Fame. Jordan was elected to the class of 2009 today with David Robinson, John Stockton, Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan and Rutgers women’s coach C. Vivian Stringer (Boston Herald)."
Great class this year going into the Hall of Fame. All had unbelievable careers, and it is always nice when there is no real argument about a class. If there is an argument chances are they shouldn't be in the Hall of Fame. Robinson, Stockton, and Jordan defined an era. Jordan is the most important basketball player of all time. He brought a marketability to the sport to a whole new level. He has swagger, but the difference from most guys today is that he always backed it up. Sloan has been a great coach for a very long time, and I don't know a damn thing about Vivian Stringer, but I am sure she probably deserves it.
