Wang Won't Play vs. Sox

"Yankees manager Joe Girardi bypassed Chien-Ming Wang for his next turn following three terrible outings. CC Sabathia is to start Wednesday's series finale against Oakland, and Joba Chamberlain, A.J. Burnett and Andy Pettitte were scheduled to start this weekend in the Yankees' first trip of the year to Fenway Park (Sportsline)."

I'll be honest I thought Wang was the Yankees best pitcher going into this year, but he is all messed up and the Yankees had no choice but to skip his turn this time around. The problem is they can't send him down to the minors without putting him on waivers, so they are kind of stuck with him unless they want to completely give up and move on (which it is obviously way too soon to do so). Wang is a sinkerball pitcher, who needs that downward movement to get guys out. If he doesn't get that ball to give it turns into a batting practice pitch, which is what we have been seeing. I don't really know what is causing it. Is he just not feeling the ball right? Is it from the foot injury last year, and he just can't push off the mound? Whatever it is, if the Yankees are going to do anything this year they are going to need him to figure it out, or they aren't going anywhere this year...
