Rasheed Wallace To Celtics? (UPDATED)
There have been so many reports floating around that it is really hard to know what is true and what it is not. Ainge came out today and said he did not go to Wallace's house right when free agency started, but now Gary Tanguay is reporting...
"Comcast SportsNet’s Gary Tanguay is reporting that KG, Danny Ainge, Doc Rivers and Managing Partner Wyc Grousbeck are on the way to Michigan to meet with Rasheed Wallace. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen may also be on the trip, but that report is unconfirmed (Celticsblog)."
Like I said before I believe Tanguay, so this is great news. The Celtics are giving it everything they got. They are going to offer him the mid-level exception, and try to sell him on playing with his friend KG, and a chance to win another Championship. We'll keep you posted...
***UPDATE***
According to Mark Murphy of the Boston Herald the Celtics are prepared to make Rasheed Wallace a two year contract worth just under $12 million.
