Red Sox @ Jays Preview (UPDATED)

It really feels like it has been forever since the Sox played. Finally they get back at it tonight, and for me it couldn't come soon enough. I am sorry, but it really messes up my day when the Sox aren't on...

Tonight the Sox will be generating a lot of interest as Clay Buchholz makes his first start of the season. Last season Clay got rocked int he majors, but seems to have regained his swagger with a 7-2 record and 2.36 ERA in AAA. I really think Clay is going to have a great game tonight, because he knows if he does it will start raising some serious questions to why is isn't up full time. There will be a lot of pressure on him tonight, so it will be very interesting to see how he deals with it.

Going against Clay will be one of the most surprising pitchers in the AL (Ricky Romero). He has a record of 7-2 with a 3.00 ERA. He was a lot of the reason for the Jays success early this season. In his 1 start against the Sox he got lit up allowing five runs in four innings of an 8-2 loss May 31. He walked five and gave up home runs to Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis.

No word yet about whether or not Lowell will be in the lineup tonight. I expect that he will be, but we'll have more on that when the lineups are released (usually around 3:30-4pm).

Game starts at 7:07pm on NESN.
