Top Cuban Prospect Defects
As a result DP can't get his hands to the keyboard...nuff said.
"Aroldis Chapman, a Cuban considered by many scouts to be the best left-handed pitching prospect in the world, has defected from the national team, several sources have confirmed to ESPN The Magazine. Chapman, 21, walked out of his hotel in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, where Cuba was participating in a tournament, and never returned, according to the Spanish-language Web site cubaencuentro.com, which first reported Chapman's defection (ESPN)."
Well there is a lot of hype around this kid. He is known for his 100 MPH fastball, but he is still very, very raw. Other then his fastball his secondary pitches are basically average. There is no word on who will get their hands on him, but it will be expensive. It could be worth it with the right coaching.
My biggest question is how old he actually is, because honestly you just never know with these guys....my guess is 24.
