The Baltimore Orioles are coming off a third straight series win, while the Red Sox have been struggling out of the gate. The good news for the Sox is that they are coming off a strong win, and Baltimore's bullpen is already being overworked. The Sox need to hit this team early if they want to win. The Orioles starters are a joke, so Boston needs to pounce on them, and get them out of the game ASAP.
The bad news is that Baltimore has been hitting the cover off the ball since late last year, and don't look like they are going to slow down anytime soon. Roberts, Huff are both batting above .340, and add that to the young raw talent they have in players like Markakis, and Jones, and you got one hell of a lineup.
So, it is going to be up to the Boston pitching to keep these guys in the game, and the Sox lineup to finally start putting up some fucking runs, because I can guarantee you that the Orioles will.
First pitch is at 7:10pm on NESN. Penny will be going against Baltimore's best pitcher Guthrie.
