Rose Wins Rookie Of The Year
Even though I think Bill Walker should have won this award, I guess I will accept Derrick Rose taking it.
Rose averaged 16.8 points per game, second to the Memphis Grizzlies' O.J. Mayo among rookies. Rose led all rookies in assists with 6.3 per game and in minutes played with 37 per game.
Rose joins Michael Jordan and Elton Brand among Bulls named rookie of the year.
It is about time the Bulls had a rookie of the year. It seems like they have had top 5 picks forever and none have worked out. Rose is a hell of a player and is going to be an elite player in the future. He proved he is a rookie from his discrepancy from how he played in game 1 and game 2. Rose will solidify the Bulls for years too come.
