"Longtime Montreal Canadiens captain Saku Koivu has signed a one-year contract with Anaheim, the Ducks announced Wednesday. "Saku Koivu's character and leadership qualities are unquestioned," Ducks general manager Bob Murray said. "He is a skilled playmaker and we are thrilled to add him to our team (Sportsline)."
Koivu has been a good player for a long time, and it will be really strange to see him wearing another jersey. The Canadiens are rebuilding from scratch, and I really think they will be bad for the next 2-3 years. This has to be crushing for Canadiens fans since he is tied for the longest running captain in their history. The Ducks have a very solid team, and could be very interesting to watch next season...
