Partly because Alex Gordon is nearing a return to the Royals lineup, and partly because he's seen his name floated around in trade rumors almost as much as Roy Halladay, Mark Teahen figures change is coming.
"Obviously, I've enjoyed playing third and playing there every day, but it's no mystery as to who is viewed as the future here at third base," Teahen told the KC Star. "I've just got to continue to do my job wherever I am, and let them figure out where that is going to be (ESPN)."
There have been a ton of teams linked to Teahen, but one that keeps coming up is the Red Sox. He would be an interesting signing since he can play a bunch of positions and is having a very solid year (.294 9 HR 29 RBIs). Still, I see the Sox going after him hard only if Lowell is not going to be able to stay on the field. With Gordon coming back it is just a matter of time before the Royals move him, so look for more rumors about this kid coming up to the trade deadline.
